When you find yourself in love with a new OTP, things get really difficult. let's say you like percabeth. And your best friend also likes percabeth. And you're all fine and dandy, until, you discover percico. When you tell you're best friend, she starts ranting. "But why do you like percico better than percabeth?!?!?". And you're all like because percico is my headcannon". And then she's like "noooo percabeth is cannon!!!". And you just keep going back and forth until you just get tired of fighting. In the end, you're still best friends. but then you introduce the fandom to someone new, and well..... "Guys, percico is cannon". "NO. IT. ISN'T." And the fight starts again. but the point of this is: friendship is actually stronger than ship rivalry
